Home care: rental and sales of medical and nursing care beds and welfare equipment

The Medical Services Business focuses primarily on home-based nursing care, offering an integrated framework for the manufacture and procurement, rental, and retail/wholesale sales of medical and nursing care beds and welfare equipment. Our structure allows us to provide necessary products through either rental or purchase, depending on each user’s condition and intended duration of use. In addition, we operate our own Service Centers (Maintenance Centers), which handle the cleaning, disinfection, and maintenance of rental products, ensuring stable supply and consistent quality control.

Linen supply for medical and welfare facilities and hotels

In our Linen Service business, we provide a reliable supply of clean and safe linens to medical and welfare facilities as well as hotels. All linens are washed, disinfected, and finished at our in-house plants equipped with dedicated disinfection facilities, in accordance with stringent hygiene standards. As a plant certified for medical-related services, we maintain a rigorous and stable quality control system. By meeting the high hygiene requirements of hospitals and care facilities, we support daily operations in the medical and welfare fields through reliable and timely service.

Facility solutions for medical and welfare facilities

Through our corporate services for medical and care facilities, the Group provides comprehensive support for care and recuperation environments at hospitals and elderly care facilities.
Based on safety requirements from facility operators, we design, develop, and propose products tailored to each facility’s needs. We also place great emphasis on comfort within care environments by incorporating home-like designs and materials into medical and nursing care beds.
By considering the psychological impact of interior environments during recuperation, we contribute to the creation of higher-quality medical and welfare settings.

Home Furnishing & Health Business

In the home furnishings and health business, we develop a wide range of products ranging from beds and bedding items backed by research into comfortable sleep to furniture, interior products, and health-related equipment. Leveraging proprietary know-how cultivated through our production and development capabilities, we supply these products to the market through manufacturing, procurement, and wholesale operations. Our sales and distribution network spans Japan, centered on furniture retailers, department stores, and interior shops. Through FRANCE BED’s distinctive products and services, we contribute to improving quality of life and supporting new lifestyles.

Designing mattresses with end-of-life in mind

Spring mattresses are often difficult to dispose of due to the complexity of dismantling and separating materials, and disposal requirements can vary by municipality. To address this issue, FRANCE BED developed the environmentally conscious dismantling system “MORELIY®,” which enables easier disassembly without special tools, even by a single person, and facilitates more efficient sorting and recycling.
By offering mattresses incorporating this structure, we promote material recovery and help reduce residual waste. We will continue to advance product design that considers end-of-life processing and contributes to the realization of a circular economy.

Product experiences and sleep consultations through our showroom network

We operate a nationwide network of showrooms where customers can experience the value of our products firsthand. At our showrooms, customers can try key products such as beds and mattresses and receive recommendations tailored to individual body characteristics and sleep environments, supported by tools such as sleep posture measurement. Our in-house certified “Sleep Advisors,” who have acquired structured knowledge of sleep and product expertise, provide advice and support customers in selecting products best suited to their needs.

Supporting lodging operators’ sustainability needs

We supply beds, mattresses, and related products to hotels, inns, and other lodging operators, primarily through wholesale channels. As sustainability initiatives continue to expand across the hospitality industry, demand is growing for products with a lower environmental impact, and we offer hotel mattresses with Eco Mark certification.
In addition, we provide rental services that enable operators to secure items such as extra beds only for the periods required in line with demand. We also offer functional products, including bed-type massage devices, to meet diverse operational needs.
